Rooted in Hollidaysburg
Owners Jimmy and Laura have called Hollidaysburg home since 2001. Their journey in food started back in 1997 at the Duncansville and East Freedom Best Way Pizza — an experience that pushed them to take the next leap.
In 2022 they became owner-operators of The Dream Restaurant, a piece of Hollidaysburg history since the 1950s. Then in 2025, with four kids in tow, they opened Beech Tree Café.
The name comes from an old beech tree in the yard of their historic Hollidaysburg home. When the tree came down, they couldn't part with it — so its wood now lives on as the tabletops in the café, surrounded by specialty coffee, homemade waffles, pastries, sandwiches, and more.
But the café isn't one or two people — it's a team. Every cup, bowl, and waffle is made by the crew behind the counter, and that's who you're really here to meet. We're grateful for the people who show up and pour their best into every order.
